Aberdeen City Council have posted the following notice on Smartjourney to advise motorists of upcoming road restrictions affecting users of the A944 and B9119 near the ongoing construction work at Arnhall, Westhill.
ARNHALL, ABERDEEN(Traffic Order Number :4641) :Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 26 May, 2014, until 22 June, 2014, is to close the B9119 Tarland Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the A944 Skene Road and the city boundary at Brodiach Burn, and also to close the U131C Bishopdams Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the B9119 Tarland Road and a point 50 metres in a southerly direction, from 22:00 from 4 June 2014 to 15June 2014. The right turn manoeuvre from the A944 Skene Road will be banned for this time. There will be a one-way restriction imposed on the A944 Skene Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the B9119 Tarland Road and the city boundary at Brodiach Burn from 19:00 on 20 June, 2014, until 24:00 on 22 June, 2014. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. There will be a 30mph speed restriction imposed on A944 Skene Road, Aberdeen, between the city boundary at Brodiach Burn and East Kingsford, and also on the B9119 Tarland Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the A944 Skene Road and the city boundary at Brodiach Burn from 22:00 on 26 May, 2014, until 24:00 on 22 June, 2014. The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during works in connection with a new development.An alternative route is available via the A944 Skene Road, Blacktop Road, Easter Ord Road and the B9119 Tarland Road or Prospect Road, the B9119 Tarland Road. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via Prospect Road and the B9119 Tarland Road.
