Following on from a large amount of emails, phone calls and comments on social media regarding the change of speed limit on the stretch of the A944 Westhill to Kingswells road, please note the following:

• This decision was made by Aberdeen City Council, campaigned for and voted on by Aberdeen City councillors.
• I am one of the councillors for Westhill & District (Aberdeenshire Council), NOT Aberdeen City.
• I uploaded the link to the Aberdeen City consultation last summer here on my website to inform my constituents of Westhill & District that there were changes being proposed. No constituent responded or contacted me at that time.
• I did not campaign for a reduction in the speed limit nor did I have a say in the decision to reduce it.
