National Libraries Day
It was great to take a break from campaigning today and relax in Westhill Library with Sir Robert Smith, MP, to celebrate National Libraries Day. It was good to see the library busy this morning with all age groups. There’s lots going on here with local groups utilising the facility for crochet clubs, Reminscence groups, Rhyme Times and lots more! It’s the place to be if you want to catch up with the daily newspapers even.
Today was the culmination of a week’s worth of celebrations in schools, universities, colleges, workplaces and public libraries across the UK. I certainly think libraries are worth celebrating!
Book Week Scotland – Reading Hour at Westhill
Please go along and join local residents for coffee at Westhill Library on Friday 30th November 2012 to take part in The Reading Hour. Thousands of people across Scotland are planning to stop what they are doing to read and enjoy a book at 11am. The event will start at 10.30 am.
