Local Development Plan discussions at Cluny

LDP

Cluny Church Hall was the venue tonight for a lively discussion on the next Local Development Plan. Planners gave local residents an overview of the Main Issues Report and encouraged comment on any of the planners’ recommendations. Issues debated were valued views, wind turbine policy, housing and employment land as well as infrastructure and school roll concerns.

Consultation remains open for comment until 1st February 2013 with local councillors having input later on in the year before the plan is finalised.

Your views are essential!

Aberdeenshire Council 2

Aberdeenshire Council want your views on what should be included in the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan 2016. Officers have suggested changes to the existing LDP as a starting point. The existing LDP is available on the council website. There are a series of questions about the way in which this plan should change but your comments are sought on any land use planning matter to help identify what may need to change. Your views will be put before us as Councillors of Aberdeenshire Council, who decide on what to include in the proposed Local Development Plan, due to be published in Autumn 2014.

It is very important that you participate and have your say on the local plan. Two meetings are to be held for local residents to meet council officers from the planning team along with prospective developers who will tell you about their bid for land that they would like to see included.

The meetings are as follows:

Wednesday 13th November at 7pm – Cluny Church – settlements to be discussed Cluny & Sauchen, Echt, Dunecht, Lyne of Skene

Tuesday 19th November at 7pm – Holiday Inn Westhill – settlements to be discussed Westhill,                         Kirkton of Skene, Garlogie

This is your chance to help shape your local community.
