Councillors today approved the following roads and footways listed for addition to the Statutory List of Public Roads. This means they have been completed to an acceptable standard and will be adopted by Aberdeenshire Council.

FROM THE JUNCTION WITH OLD SKENE ROAD TO CAIRNFIELD
Commencing 29 February 2016 for 9 weeks.
Access for pedestrians and to adjacent properties will be maintained whenever possible.
Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.
The alternative route is via Old Skene Road to Kirkton of Skene and B979 from Kirkton of Skene to Hill of Keir as shown on the attached plan.
I have been advised by the agent for the new development at the former blockworks on Straik Road, Elrick, that after work being completed by BT Openreach’s contractor to move the fibre-optic cables then footpath construction and resurfacing by Nicol of Skene, the west-bound section should re-open to traffic by Friday, 18th December 2015.
