CLOSURE

 ON U91C BLACKBURN TO WESTHILL ROAD

 At Backhill Bridge

 From 10 October 2014 for 2 Weeks (between 9.00 am and 3.30pm)

 Access for pedestrians and to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times.

 Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.

 The alternative route is via U91c to B979, B979 to A96 Tyrebagger, A96 to U91c as shown on the attached plan.

Further to my previous posts on concerns raised by residents at the W&ECC meeting last week and by direct email and phone calls, I am delighted to add this latest update received from Aberdeenshire Council this morning:

1. For the duration of the road closure on Westhill Drive, the buses will now be directed along Hillside Road and Westhill Road. There will be no need for a temporary No Waiting Restriction on Hillside Road. The temporary No Waiting Restriction due to be in place on Kinmundy Drive for the duration of the works will no longer be required.

2. The janitor from Westhill Primary has agreed to cover the 8 week period in the mornings and the afternoons at a temporary crossing on Kinmundy Drive. A notification of specific location and times covered will be communicated directly to all parents from the Head Teacher at the school.

Please note that due to SEWER DIVERSION WORKS to be carried out by Barr Construction it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the following restriction to traffic.

CLOSURE  ON WESTHILL DRIVE, WESTHILL

BETWEEN THE ROUNDABOUT AT THE JUNCTION WITH OLD SKENE ROAD AND THE JUNCTION WITH KINMUNDY AVENUE

Commencing 6 October 2014 for 8 weeks.

Access for pedestrians and to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times.

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.

The alternative route is via Old Skene Road and Hays Way as shown on the attached plan.

Commencing 11 September 2014 for 1 day.

Access for pedestrians and to adjacent properties will be maintained at all times.

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative routes where applicable.

The alternative route is via Westhill Drive, Old Skene Road to Kirkton of Skene, B979 and vice versa as shown on the attached plan: u91csouthauchinclech110914

The B9119 Westhill to Tornaveen Road from Echt to Sunhoney will be closed from Monday, September 1 for two weeks to allow for carriageway repairs.

 An alternative route will be available via the B9119 to West Bandoodle, B993 to Millbank, A944 to Dunecht and B977 to Echt.

 Aberdeenshire Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause while this work is being completed and advises motorists to check the website for regular updates on all road closures in the area as the best source of live information http://bit.ly/McuJ6x.
